AUTHOR:  P.J. Lawton

In the introduction Simon, upon the death of Lana, his fiancé, vows to get vengeance on the Galendez brothers.  His wrath is nothing to contend with as he exhausts himself on ridding the world of the Galendez cartel and others.  Simon was taking out collection teams.  Big Al’s friend saves him from a merciless beating coming from the Russians.  He deals with a lot of ethnicities in his career.  He gets injured and the doctor saves his leg.  Simon, as a private investigator, gets asked to look into a lot of things including Sergeant Ramos’ death, which leads to a very nasty shootout.  There are guns, shootouts, mysteries and action throughout this entire story.  One has a hard time keeping track of who is who as Simon runs down gangs and has shootouts with them.  When Julio Galendez dies he realizes there are only two more to go after. The rest is full of sniper shootings and bang up jobs.  Simon gets his vengeance.

P.J. Lawton brings vengeance to the table in rare form in ‘Lethal Judgment’.  This story has sufficiently sanctified police and detective work.  The thrilling adventures throughout will enthrall you and keep you reading until the very end.

Lethal Judgment - Review

-- Lethal Judgment is an action, adventure detective novel. The author shares similar background experiences as his main character, Winston Simon, and this gives a sense of realism throughout the book.

--- Winston Simon is a restless, ex-soldier and former police detective who runs a private investigator agency. Fueled by a dark burning need to seek revenge against the large drug cartel responsible for the death someone close, Simon takes every case that has even the slightest thread of connection with the cartel. Whenever the opportunity for vengeance comes knocking – Simon is ready.

---This book is like a collection of stories in that it the PI solves several cases along his journey towards vengeance. Each case is centered on his personal war against the Galendez family drug cartel. Flashes to war scenes in his youth and previous cases in the first book makes this detective series nicely tied together. The story line comes full circle at the end when Simon grows beyond his devastating grief as the possibility of a new romance blooms.

--- Lethal Judgment contains graphic violence and in parts is very fast-paced ---I definitely
enjoyed reading this detective novel and would not hesitate to read PJ Lawton’s future work.

PJ Lawton’s, Lethal Judgment is another big hit. I was captivated, surprised and enthralled with every word. Simon, as usual, conquers the bad guys and finds, for lack of a better word, peace. His old friend TJ joins in the “fun” and helps him bring the bad guys to their knees, and in most cases their backs and faces down in the dirt! I can’t wait to see what happens in the third installment of this Simon Trilogy.

This book, like the first is an awesome page-turner that leaves you only wanting more. But
like all good things, it had to come to an end…and a wonderful end it was. I strongly suggest,
if you like detective novels, to pick this one up along with his first, Lethal Option. Even if
you are not a fan of detective novels, I promise you, once you read about Discreet Investigations, W. Simon Esq., you will be!

PJ Lawton manages to tell a story without use of curse words or sex to make it interesting
and readable. His talent comes through in every page. Simon is my hero! Bravo PJ! Another
spectacular story! If you love detective novels, you’ll have to own this one!

Review: Lethal Judgment by P J Lawton

Relentless in his quest for vengeance, PI Winston Simon is shot at, banged up, and literally
blown away as he pursues the villains whom he had sworn vengeance against at the end
of the previous story. (Lethal Option.) However, before he can reach his goal, he will have
to face a long and complicated series of bad situations, as well as a list of bad people who
would want nothing more than to put an end to his life. In staccato like fashion, the reader
is hit with one great tale after another, as Simon himself relays each episode until finally
bringing the story to its conclusion. Sorry, did I say conclusion?
If you are looking for a
book that is full of action, firepower and a character who’s no nonsense approach to life
and life’s values are just what you appreciate, then I highly recommend this book.
